Employers and HR Departments are normally the first point of contact for an employee.
At Benefit Empowerment we handle the inquiries that the employer brings to us, so they can get back to handling the responsibilities of their position, and we will work on getting and information or resolution to the issue. The three main concerns that we are requested to assist with include: claims, enrollment and billing. On occasion we will have benefit inquiry requests from employers.
Due to the HIPAA regulations, it is normal to request an authorization form from the employee in order to research any claims issues. Most fully insured carriers have their own, or we can use one we have developed for this.
